1-Million Points Sunland Derby Hit It & Split It Pick 4

A total of seven stakes races totaling at least $1.4 million will be contested at Sunland Park on Sunday, March 23, with the crown jewel being the 12th running of the $800,000 Sunland Derby (G3). An announced field of nine three-year-olds with Kentucky Derby aspirations will be led by the Bob Baffert trained duo of Midnight Hawk and Chitu, followed closely by Commissioner and Global Strike, who both hail from the powerful Todd Pletcher barn.

Topping a great day of racing action at Sunland, all TwinSpires Players who hit Sunday's All Stakes Pick 4 will earn a share of 1,000,000 TSC Elite Points.

The Sunland Derby undercard includes the $200,000 Sunland Oaks, $85,000  La Coneja Stakes, $85,000 New Mexico Breeders’ Oaks, $85,000 New Mexico Breeders’ Derby, $75,000 Bill Thomas Memorial and $75,000 Harry Henson Handicap.

First post at Sunland this Sunday is set for 2:55 p.m. ET. The All Stakes Pick 4 gets underway in the 8th race at approximately 6:05 p.m. ET.
