October 29th, 2020

On Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31, Breeders Crown trotters and pacers will race at Hoosier Park in the championship finals for each division.

Here is a list of outside contenders from the races we like best.

Friday, Oct. 30

Race 8

#3 Splash Blue Chip was strong to qualify for the final and could be better here. #8 Swift Swanda is a local with great credentials.

Race 10

#5 Venerate is the big favorite, but #4 On A Streak is in a good spot for a sneaky upset.

Race 12

#4 Paulas Bet Hanover was impressive in her elim and is ready to scoop the big prize. #5 Scarlett Hanover is underrated and bound to be involved late.

Race 14

We were close in the elim, with third-place finisher #1 JK Going West, and she could steal this at a price. #4 Always A Miki also raced better than the public expected, and she may here, too.

Saturday, Oct. 31

Race 8

Off a big win, #4 When Dovescry is not in as deep as the public will assume.

Race 9

#8 Caviart Eva was super in her elim and charts to race big off this fiery pace.

Race 11

Revved up for a big win, #4 Play Trix On Me could win on moxie, not on magic.

Race 15

This 2020 Breeders Crown finale may be the best betting race, since this division is continually sharing spots on the toteboard when big money is on the line.

In this group, we see value in #4 Dorsoduro Hanover, who has beaten a group like this before — including probable favorite #9 Bettor’s Wish.

Also, #6 Backstreet Shadow is always competitive and usually a high-priced prize.
