$50,000 Hes My Man Classic Tournament Preview
*Last years Champion Rob Gronkowski*
In what might be one of the most competitive Tournaments in a long time at Palm Beach, the best in the 545 yard will be competing for one of the most prestigious Stakes here. Greyhounds and Kennels will settle it on the track to see who is truly the top dog here. First round action begins today and ends with the final on January 17th.Here is the top racers to watch out for in the Tournament:
The Favorites
Storm Control ~ B & B Racing
The Spring Puppy Stakes Champ already has a BetAmerica National Championship invite on January 24th and could add the He’s My Man Title to his legacy as well. Best win percentage of any greyhound here (78%) and has looked tremendous all season long.
JS SpeedyPebbles ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins Team
The “Queen of Palm Beach” has more career wins (43) than anybody else the last two seasons and possesses a lethal rush. If she gets the lead, she is almost impossible to run down.
CRT Leyla ~ Champions Racing Team
Looks to be on the top of her game after two consecutive fantastic runs. She owns the fastest time on the 545 yard course this season (29.28 secs) of anybody at Palm Beach.
Hustle It Up ~ Janie Carroll Kennel
The hottest Kennel also has one of the biggest surprises of the season with Hustle. Tied for the season wins lead with 14. Rare combo of sweet rush and dynamic close.
Next Best
AMF Pushover ~ B & B Racing
The best closer at “The Beach.” One of the only racers to beat Storm Control this season. Came back from last to win one of the races of the year in the semi-finals of the Futurity.
Loop A ~ Douglas Racing Team
Never count out a racer that is coming off a Championship.
Loop A just won the $20,000 Futurity and could bring that momentum right into this Tournament.
PJ Smoke Em Out ~ Agganis Kennel
One of the top breakers in the country. If he gets his fade under control at go time, this youngster has a chance to steal this Tourney.

My Prediction
I’m going with JS SpeedyPebbles to win it all. She gets her favorite 1 box to start today and should carry momentum into the later rounds of the Classic. I believe Pebbles will get her second Stakes victory for owner Shannon Henry.
Other Predictions
I asked people at Palm Beach and in the greyhound industry which racer they predict to win it all:
~GreyhoundNews.co
“I’m going with CRT Leyla in the Classic. A winner in 50% of her races this season and the best overall time of this field. Champions Racing Team is all in for Leyla bringing home the top prize!”
~Palm Beach Track Announcer “DogTrack” Mike Jameson
So many different options including Storm Control, Pebbles, Leyla, Smokey and Hustle It Up. I have to go with “White Lightning” AMF Pushover to strike in one of the most exciting finals ever!”
~Randy Birch, International Host of BigJackpotBetting.com
“I think sensational Storm Control has a chance to win the He's My Man and Daytona 550. This greyhound has the best rush going at Palm Beach and already has won the Bob Balfe Puppy Stakes.”
~Palm Beach Track Announcer “FasTrak” Dale Simons
“FasTrak’s pick to win it all is Storm Control, who I hope also wins the Daytona 550. For a possible longshot, I would take Oaks Tony Roman."
~Palm Beach Track Announcer Ramon Cadavieco
“My sentimental pick is CRT Leyla”
~Customer Service Manager at PBKC Jeff Prince
“As always, it will depend on post positions. Early favorites will be JS SpeedyPebbles and Storm Control, both who should win Wednesday. I’m going with Storm Control to win it all.”
Enjoy the Hes My Man Classic everybody!
