Australian racing picks for Ipswich and Bendigo
Last night we got lucky, with two winners from two picks, including one at 8-1, so fingers crossed the good fortune continues tonight!
BetAmerica players have four Australian Thoroughbred venues and two harness meetings available to watch and wager on.
Here are a couple of picks for Ipswich and Bendigo.
Ipswich, Race 1: #7 Serratalli
From the barn of trainer Tony Sears, this filly has been racing well but hasn't won in her debut campaign. She looks well placed to break through for her maiden victory tonight.
She generally does her best work late, and that certainly was the case when she flashed home for fourth at the Gold Coast last start.
While I would have preferred for her to step up in distance, there looks to be a bit of speed in this race. That makes me confident she can finish over the top of them over the four furlongs.
She is drawn well, has a great jockey in Michael Cahill engaged, and deserves a win before what will likely be her last run before a break.
Bendigo, Race 3: #13 Sweet Gold
The winkers go on for the first time on this Chris Waller-trained mare by Irish sire Havana Gold.
In her 11 starts, it’s been a case of always the bridesmaid, never the bride. She has hit the board nine times without a win!
She has a great chance to break her maiden tonight. She’s drawn well for jockey Damien Thornton to sit pretty over the 8-furlong trip, which is a journey she seems to race best over. The soft track conditions will suit her, and she looks better than the rest.
Good luck!
