DAYTONA 550 Championship runs Saturday evening, January 21 at Daytona Beach

The 2017 DAYTONA 550 Invitational Championship will be run Saturday evening at Daytona Beach and look for Southland's OAKS MADDY to be one of the favorites as they go to post. This is the 3rd year for this outstanding event and it is certain to be a hotly contested battle between  8 of the country's best greyhounds that are coming from 6 different tracks across the nation.

Previous winners were HUSKER MAGIC in  2015 and NEEDMYMONEYNOW who took home the title in 2016. There is no doubt OAKS MADDY will have her work cut out for her but Southland fans are sure to agree she is more than capable of leading the pack across the finish line. She is certainly stakes tested as she won 2 events this past year at Southland winning both the ARKANSAS BRED SPRINT and KING & QUEEN stakes.
