Belmont Park, Race 6: Allowance/optional claiming (1 1/16 miles, 3:59 p.m. ET)
#7 Creed (6-5 on the morning line) showed promise in his debut for trainer Shug McGaughey, when he rallied to finish second in a 7-furlong dash at Tampa Bay Downs. Two months later, the son of hot young sire Honor Code delivered a powerful performance running 1 1/16 miles at Belmont Park, where he surged home from off the pace over a muddy track to dominate by 7 3/4 lengths.

This victory produced an 89 Brisnet Speed rating, and since Creed is bred to improve with maturity, he figures to take another step forward at the same track and distance Thursday.
Recent maiden winners #2 Life Changer (4-1) and #3 Mister Winston (7-2), plus capable allowance performer #4 Edge of Fire (9-2), are the logical candidates to round out the exotics, so let’s play Creed on top of these three in the trifecta.
$5 trifecta: 7 with 2,3,4 with 2,3,4 ($30)
Good luck!
