A half-brother to 2009 Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra, the son of Tapit raced off the pace in his Dec. 28 debut sprinting 6 furlongs at Fair Grounds, but the early fractions were blazing — :21.43 and :45.40 over a muddy track.

Airstreem rallied from behind to finish fourth and posted solid Brisnet E1 and E2 Pace ratings of 88 and 90. He figures to encounter a much slower pace in his return, and this could place Airstreem on an easy lead under jockey Tyler Gaffalione.
