Hambletonian hopefuls (e) make appearances on Wednesday, June 12, at Buffalo as the state-bred colts’ pace through June in two pricey divisions of the New York Sires Stakes (NYSS). Six step up to the gate in the first division, worth $57,600. The early choice is Our White Knight, who finished just where we wanted her to finish, second last week, to hike an exacta price. She got there with a little help from our top choice, Livinonthedash (e), who put in a lazy mile. Livinonthedash is here again and should win this, at a decent price in a six-horse field The other classic eligible is Lights Come On (e). Anette Lorentzon’s colt has the second highest earning record of the season in this group and could win it but will definitely be in the board mix at the finish line. The other NYSS split is worth $58,700, sending seven around the half-mile track. Barring any miscues or flubs, Mr Vicktor (e) should easily dismiss Travel Winner (e), his greatest foe in the division thus far. If you want to hike an exacta price up, put Travel Winner out of the picture second for Captain Krupnik, who has shown some NYSS talent and may be getting a step or two better for Ake Svanstedt.
