Get 2-1 on Winx again: odds boost for Friday night’s Chipping Norton
After offering 2-1 on Winx to extend her winning streak in the February 16 Apollo (G2), TwinSpires.com is at it again ahead of Friday night’s Chipping Norton (G1) (post time of 11:40 p.m. EST).
The world’s top-ranked horse in training will be prohibitively odds-on when she seeks her 31st straight victory in the 6TH race at Randwick (Australia B), but you can get 2-1 on Winx to win thanks to another odds-boost.
Here’s the brief summary:
Opt in now and bet at least $100 on races from Australia Friday to unlock your 2-1 odds boost on Winx (only $10 bet on Winx will count toward your $100 bet total)
Place a win bet on #5 Winx - Race 6 at Randwick (Australia B). Only your first Win bet on Winx will count as your contest wager.
If she wins, TwinSpires will pay out at 2-1 odds, and the bonus payments will be credited to accounts on Monday, March 3.
Be sure to check out all the details on the Winx promotion page.
Winx has won the past three editions of the Chipping Norton around Randwick’s metric mile. Her stakes-record blitz in her Apollo comeback confirmed her well-being. Five of her six rivals are coming off the Apollo – gallant runner-up The Happy Clapper; third Egg Tart; Patrick Erin, who outperformed his odds in fourth; fifth Unforgotten, arguably the likeliest to move forward here since she beat the boys second up in Group 2s in her last two preparations; and the trailing Brimham Rocks.
All bar Happy Clapper are Winx’s stablemates from the Chris Waller yard. So is Libran, who resumes from a three-month break in this spot.
Regular rider Hugh Bowman, in a column for racenet.com.au, offered a Winx prognosis as only he could:
She was a little more switched on Thursday morning and she’s probably better now than ever, more relaxed now as I pointed out leading into the first run back which to me is a very good sign and as I pointed out before, she felt a little stronger on Thursday. The juices are certainly flowing through her veins and I’m sure we’ll see another good performance on the weekend. She is just different. I got that feeling on Tuesday morning when I worked with Unforgotten. Her work was exceptional. I can honestly say Unforgotten is probably the best horse Winx has worked with and yeah, Unforgotten worked really well but Winx just did it as she does on raceday. She’s just got gears that other horses don’t have. That’s why she’s Winx.
