Harrington Raceway offers solid Monday card
Harrington Raceway's Monday cards have continued to be among the best in the Mid-Atlantic region and the Delaware half-mile oval offered owners, trainers, drivers and onlookers the chance to see numerous competitive events for older and younger pacers alike. A similar card will be offered for trotters on Wednesday, the track's annual Breast Cancer Awareness program.
In the opening race on the Monday card, Sonny The Shark (Mike Cole) benefited from a pocket trip behind 8-5 favorite Art Of A Warrior (Corey Callahan) through the first three calls then overhauled that one in the lane to score by a length in 1:56.1. A five-year-old Four Starzzz Shark gelding trained by Bart Dalious for The Wiz Kids Stable, Sonny The Shark recorded his first victory in 10 starts this year and now owns a 3-7-8 slate and $47,000 banked from 66 career tries and took a new lifetime mark while ending a drought in the process.
