Presque Isle Downs

A competitive field for the HBPA S. includes last year’s runner-up #11 Irony of Reality (10-1). Mare may not have cared for the surface in her latest when unplaced at Pimlico in her one lifetime start on regular dirt, but has a record of 8-5-2-0 on this artificial surface and makes her fourth start of the year for trainer Potts, who has won with 20% of his runners at this meet.
