November 11th, 2020

Tim Holland offers his free expert picks for this day in racing at Churchill Downs and Indiana Grand.

Churchill Downs

Race 6

Wayne Catalano wins with 16% of his runners that have not raced for 46-90 days and saddles #2 Perfect Sense (6-1), who was never a factor after a slow start when unplaced in his debut facing better over 6 1/2 furlongs here in September. Catalano has won with 15% of his runners since the beginning of this year and colt should be suited to longer distances being by Tiznow and out of a mare by Tapit. Bay is a half-brother to Restoring Hope, who finished third in the Wood Memorial (G2), and can show more here with Geroux retaining the mount.

Race 8

A competitive allowance on grass includes #8 Street of Dreams (10-1), who faltered to finish third after setting solid fractions at this distance at Kentucky Downs in September in her turf debut. Trainer Wilkes wins with 13% of his runners that have not raced for 46-90 days and daughter of Street Sense finished a good second in the Forward Gal (G3) earlier this year. 3-year-old can be in good position throughout with Landeros remaining aboard.

Race 9

Maidens going 6 furlongs on the main track include #8 Centrifuge (5-1), a debuting son of Tapit who is a half-brother to Honor Code, winner of the Met Mile (G1). Works include a sharp 4-furlong move in :46 3/5 from the gate at Keeneland last month for trainer Brisset, who wins with 10% of his first-time starters. $700K yearling purchase appears ready to win at first asking under Gaffalione, who has won with one of his last nine rides for the barn.

Indiana Grand

Race 4

#3 That Khenny (5-1) drops into a maiden claiming event for the first time off a weakening fifth-place finish after chasing the early leader at this distance at Hawthorne last month in his second outing. Son of speedy sire has posted two sharp works since his last outing for trainer Becker, who wins with 31% of his runners making this class drop. Chestnut can be on or near the early lead with Pompell in the saddle.
