Churchill Downs
Race 6
#7 One Nation (5-1) lost chances when hopping and bumped at the start in his latest over the track and distance last month, but impressed when breaking his maiden two back, from which race the runner-up returned to win next time out. Son of Union Rags is out of a half-sister to Peace Rules, who won the Haskell Invitational (G1), and can be forwardly placed from the start with Gaffalione remaining aboard.
Belmont Park
Race 7
Some well-bred maidens include #2 Seaside Retreat (9-2), a daughter of Blame who is out of Boca Grande, who finished second in the Test (G1). 3-year-old gets Lasix added and has been working well since finishing second in her debut at Aqueduct in November behind Lake Avenue, who won the Demoiselle (G2) in her next outing. Trainer McGaughey wins with 17% of his runners that have not raced for 90+ days and filly gets Jose Ortiz in the saddle.
Indiana Grand
Race 5
Maidens going one mile include #4 Cocktails on Tap (15-1), who gets Lasix added after giving way early when unplaced over 6 1/2 furlongs in her debut at Keeneland earlier this month. Trainer Hiles has won with 22% of his runners this year and daughter of Tapizar is a half-sister to five winners. $205K purchase earlier this year should show improvement with Parker taking the mount.
Race 11
Trainer Greenhill wins with 15% of his runners switching from turf to dirt and saddles #8 Forbidden Fruit (6-1), who closed to narrowly miss over one mile on grass in her latest here earlier this month. Daughter of Skylord has a record of 9-1-2-1 on this main track and Greenhill has won with 12% of his runners at this meet. Filly should find a decent pace to stalk with Jimenez retaining the mount.
Woodbine
Race 5
#7 Jungle Goddess (6-1) finished well when second as the favorite in her debut over 5 furlongs on grass earlier this month. Daughter of Old Forester posted a solid 4-furlong work in :48 since her first start for trainer Drexler, who wins with 15% of his second-time starters and with 22% making this surface change. Filly can be in good position from the start with Contreras riding.
