Hoosier Harness Race of the Week

Wednesday’s 10th race at Hoosier Park offers a $20,000 purse for fillies and mares going one-mile in an open handicap. A field of nine will contest what appears to be a wide-open betting affair. The Robert Phillips trainee endured a horrific trip with open foes at Scioto Downs last time when breaking from the 10-hole. The four-year-old bay was parked for much of that event before fading late, but she is much better than she showed on that day. Daughter of Rockin Image led throughout when posting a three-length win the last time she was at Hoosier and gets reunited with Trace Tetrick. #8 PRETTY IMAGE (4-1) paced her way to a convincing score against open foes most recently and brings razor-sharp form into the field. The Rockin Image mare has won or placed in each of her six assignments in 2019 for 20% trainer Rodney Freese and the mare is a must use once again. Five-year-old bay has shown versatility in her running style, which will give driver Dale Hiteman options from a demanding post position (8), and Pretty Image looks most logical in a well-matched cast. #6 DIAMONDTEQUILASHOT (8-1) put in a strong late run to be third against a few of these foes last time out for trainer Bill Webb. The six-year-old mare has hit the board in three straight races and owns arguably the best turn of foot in the stretch. Daughter of Palone Ranger could be the beneficiary of a swift and contested pace in this contest with Michael Oosting in the sulky. The Indiana-bred is a nice exotics piece at a square number. #9 WINDSUN GLORY (9-2) earned in excess of $135,000 in 2018 and she has won or placed in each of her five tries this campaign. Six-year-old daughter of Mach Three is the pace of the race but could be hampered by being assigned the widest post in the field.
