Hoosier Park Harness Race of the Week September 11

The 10th Race at Hoosier Park on Wednesday is a $69,000 event for two-year-old pacing fillies. Leg 5 of the Indiana Sires Stakes is a one-mile affair that attracted two of the top juvenile fillies on the grounds.

PRICELESS (#9) (8-5) swept to the front after midstretch and drove home a most impressive 3 ½-length winner in leg 4. Trained and driven by Brandon Bates, the daughter of Rockin Image put in a sensational 1:51 ⅘ mile on the course most recently and has only been challenged on one occasion from five lifetime appearances. The Indiana-bred bay gets a tough slot in the nine hole, but she is all class and will be forwardly placed early.

The once-beaten FOXY RIGGER (#8) (9-5) draws a lane inside of the favorite and boasts a superb 6-5-1-0 career mark. The Riggins filly captured three previous legs of this series in sharp fashion for conditioner Brian Brown, who is winning at a 25% clip in 2019. Bred in Ohio, Foxy Rigger gets off the rail and that could be of benefit today. Trace Tetrick will be in the bike with the two-year-old, who will offer a price better than 3-5 for the first time in her career.

KICKIN UP MY HEELS (#10) (15-1) earned placings in three of the previous four legs of the series, and the Illinois-bred could be the value of the cast for the exotics. Daughter of Tellitlikeitis has been consistent this season with five top-three finishes from six outings, including a nice runner-up most recently. The bay draws widest of all, but she will benefit from having big early speed drawn directly inside of her. Peter Wrenn inherits the drive for trainer Tom Tetrick.

The Roger Welch-trained ROCKSANN (#2) (10-1) finished fourth in a division of Leg 4 most recently despite breaking from the second tier. By Rockin Image, the juvenile miss has just one win in 2019 from eight performances but has finished in the money on seven occasions overall. Rocksann has been saddled with some tricky starting slots as of late and should benefit from being one off the fence today with John De Long in the sulky.
