Hoosier Park: Outside contenders for Breeders Crown eliminations

On Oct. 23 and Oct.  24, Breeders Crown trotters and pacers at Hoosier Park will race in eliminations for berths in the championship finals next week.

Here is a list of outside contenders from the races we like best.

Friday, Oct. 23

Race 3

#6 JK Going West is doing very well this season for Lewayne Miller. The colt enters off of two wins against public choices.

Race 4

#4 Caviart Audrey has excuses for her recent two losses, after a second in a major stakes.

Race 5

#5 Nashville Elgenna is a lightly raced filly who is improving with every start.

Race 6

#5 Abuckabett Hanover can upset the probable big favorite, #4 Perfect Sting, which means the best price on her yet.

Race 7

#7 In Range has raced with better than the six foes he'll face and was the best of the rest in his last outing.

Race 8

#5 Dancinginthedark M was a Pennsylvania champ in the division and then scored big in Kentucky.

Race 11

#5 Sister Sledge did her best work at Hoosier three back and should offer a better price, after two tough trips in losses.

Saturday, Oct. 24

Race 5

#3 Allywag Hanover has been competitive with the better colts in this division, so this should be an easy score.

Race 8

The top colt in the division, #2 Tall Dark Stranger, can be beaten by #3 Sandbetweenmytoes, with the right trip.

Race 12

#9 Play Trix On Me could surprise the public’s first choice, #5 Ready For Moni.

Race 13

#4 Maesteraemon will be underrated by bettors but most certainly will be in the mix when the top three hit the wire.
