How to bet the Mrs. Revere Stakes

November 27th, 2019

A total of 14 sophomore fillies will travel 1 1/16-miles on the Churchill Downs turf in Friday's $300,000 Mrs. Revere (G2). The cast is led by a pair of recent stakes winners for standout conditioner Chad Brown, and we think his trainees will have a big say in the outcome.

Mrs. Revere Stakes Analysis

Dalika possesses a good measure of early foot and looks like the inside speed of the field. She will be tracked by Passionof the Nile, Amandrea, and The Mackem Bullet along the backside.

I think that the pace will be healthy enough to set things up for the late runners in the stretch.

Mrs Rever Stakes Wagers

  • $3 Trifecta Key 12 with 2,5,8,14 = $36
  • $1 Trifecta 2,5,8,14 with 12 with 2,5,8,14 = $12

Mrs. Rever Stakes contenders and morning line odds

#1 JULIA'S READY (50-1) -- David Vance trainee was fourth against first-level allowance foes on the course most recently, and she will need substantial improvement to get a share today. More Than Ready filly would be a shocker with Martin Garcia up.

#2 NAY LADY LAY (5-1) -- One of two in the field for Brown was a going-away stakes heroine at Parx in her latest appearance. No Nay Never filly has a strong turn of foot and comes in fresh as an obvious threat under Junior Alvarado.

#3 PROUD EMMA (15-1) -- Include filly has never run on the lawn and intrigues in her grassy debut. Peter Miller trainee kept fine company on the dirt in 2019, and her allowance win at this venue was a nice steppingstone for today's endeavor. Paco Lopez will be in the silks.

#4 DALIKA (6-1) -- Stall trainee was a head second in the Riskaverse two back prior to a creditable fourth in the Valley View (G3) at Keeneland most recently. Gray filly has speed and will attempt to take this cast all the way on the front end with Luis Saez up.

#5 WINNING ENVELOPE (15-1) -- Late-running contender was a daylight winner in a lone prior try at Churchill Downs for Chris Block. Consistent More Than Ready filly had a solid prep in an allowance score at Keeneland last time out, and she will factor late with her best showing.

#6 WINTER SUNSET (10-1) -- Well-bred gray comes in with a pair of Grade 3 placings from two tries on this course. Catalano pupil looked the part in a facile stakes win two prior at Indiana Grand, and she figures with a repeat of that performance.

#7 HARD LEGACY (10-1) -- Regret (G3) heroine has been unplaced in two tries following her biggest coup to date for Norm Casse. Hard Spun filly has done her best work when with the early pace, and she could use that tactic in this affair. Julien Leparoux has the assignment.

#8 SHE'SONTHEWARPATH (30-1) -- Stakes vixen has shown marked improvement since moving to the lawn four back, which includes a smart victory in the Ta Wee at Indiana Grand. Margolis pupil readied for this test with a bullet morning drill at the venue, and she is interesting at a huge price.

#9 PASSIONOF THE NILE (50-1) -- Longshot from the Brisset barn has never hit the board from three lifetime races on turf. Well-bred filly has good current form, but she will need a major step forward on turf to be a contender today.

#10 AMANDREA (12-1) -- Paynter filly will make her initial start since switching to the Asmussen barn in advance of today. Dark bay lass is talented and she is also a winner on this turf course. Ricardo Santana Jr. will be in the silks.

#11 DELTA'S KINGDOM (15-1) -- Daughter of Animal Kingdom is unplaced from a pair of stakes tries leading up to this test. Kentucky-bred did beat allowance foes on the course, however, and improvement could see the filly challenge for a top-three finish beneath Talamo.

#12 NEW AND IMPROVED (3-1) -- Horse to beat is one of two from the mighty Brown stable. $320,000 daughter of Cairo Prince was sharp in a Sands Point (G2) victory most recently, and she looms large in her local bow. Joel Rosario retains the mount.

#13 WILDLIFE (15-1) -- Oliver pupil was a maiden winner on the course earlier this campaign, and she has faced stakes foes in three races in succession. Daughter of Animal Kingdom will have to pass them all late from a demanding post position, though.

#14 THE MACKEM BULLET (4-1) -- Appalachian (G2) victress tired late after making a big middle move in the Valley View in her most recent endeavor. Group-1 placed filly is a major contender despite drawing widest of all in the affair. Tyler Gaffalione has the call.
