A field of 11 will go postward at Keeneland on Sunday to contest the $500,000 Spinster Stakes (G1). The Breeders’ Cup “Win & You’re In” Challenge Series affair will provide an all-expenses paid entry to the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) to the winner.

Here is the cast:

TIGER MOTH (#1) (30-1) – Dual Grade 3 vixen has missed the board in five straight and is not going in the right direction in advance of this one. She looks to be in deep.

CHOCOLATE MARTINI (#2) (12-1) – Grade 2 winner has been outrun at the top level in each of her trio of Grade 1 races. The Tom Amoss pupil is a notch below the best in the field.

FUHRIOUSLY KISSED (#3) (20-1) – Langfuhr mare beat allowance runners at Thistledown most recently and makes a massive class hike in this affair.

ESKIMO KISSES (#4) (5-2) – Kenny McPeek trainee ran off to a daylight win in the Alabama (G1) in her latest offering. Classy sophomore filly will be closing best in the stretch with Jose Ortiz.

SOUTHERNPERFECTION (#5) (50-1) – Kentucky-bred has never shown to be at this class level and is a huge long shot.

SASSY SIENA (#6) (12-1) – Midshipman filly exits a sharp second at Monmouth Park with a lifetime-best showing. Brad Cox charge could get a share with another forward move.

TALK VEUVE TO ME (#7) (7-2) – Classy Rodolphe Brisset trainee tired at 10 furlongs at Saratoga but is well placed in the affair. Violence filly has class and speed, as well as Julien Leparoux in the stirrups.

CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS (#8) (8-1) – Peaking Ian Wilkes trainee is a consistent top-three presence. Four-year-old filly just missed behind our top pick in the Locust Grove (G3) most recently.

SKEPTIC (#9) (15-1) – Late developer exits a game tally in the Monmouth Oaks (G3) for Rusty Arnold. Sophomore will likely appreciate the added ground and looks like a contender with improvement.

PACIFIC WIND (#10) (5-1) – Chad Brown trainee needs a form reversal after being outrun in her last two. Grade 2 starlet did earn a career-best BRIS Speed number (101) in an allowance win here in the spring, though.

BLUE PRIZE (#11) (7-2) – Classy chestnut had a nice prep race for this one with a game tally in the Locust Grove. Pure Prize mare was third in this contest in 2017 and seems poised to improve on that result.

ANALYSIS

Talk Veuve to Me will be controlling speed or forcing the pace from the break. She will likely be kept within reach by the quartet to her outside, including top selection Blue Prize.
