Liverpool has been unbeatable this season

Liverpool is still unbeaten in the English Premier League and holds an eight-point lead over Leicester City in the standings. The Reds achieved this mark with a torrid offense and stifling defense that has frustrated their opponents. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino have been stellar up front, and Virgil Van Dijk has been one of the best players in the world in 2019. Trent Alexander-Arnold has been an unsung hero for Liverpool, as well, with six assists across all competitions. Alisson has been superb in goal, and it would seem that Liverpool can’t be beat at Anfield. The Reds can’t take Everton for granted, though, and they can’t make mistakes if they want to keep their unbeaten streak intact.

Everton are painfully close to relegation

Everton has had a terrible start to the season and currently resides in 17th place in the standings, just two points clear of the relegation line. The Toffees will desperately want to jump-start a rise in the standings by trying to spoil the party for their neighboring rivals. Everton has been led by Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who have a combined to score 11 goals this season. Left back Lucas Digne and right back Djibril Sidibé lead the team in assists, as Everton has consistently allowed for them to run down the flanks to create scoring chances. The Toffees will need offense, but they don’t want to get in a track meet with Liverpool. Keeping Mané and Salah at bay will give Everton a chance to steal some points.

Prediction: Liverpool wins 3-0 (+1000)

Everton hasn’t won in the Merseyside Derby since October of 2010, and it will want to bring the intensity early on. That will not be enough, however. Mané will score two goals (+110) and Roberto Firmino (+160) will add another.
