Competitive fields were drawn for both the $1 million Louisiana Derby (G2) at Fair Grounds on Saturday and the $800,000 Sunland Derby (G3) at New Mexico’s Sunland Park on Sunday, and TwinSpires.com can help sort out the contenders from the pretenders with Tipsheets for each contest.

Ten sophomores go in the 1 1/8-mile Louisiana Derby, including last-out Risen Star Stakes (G2) upsetter Bravazo. Lining back up against the D. Wayne Lukas pupil are Snapper Sinclair and Noble Indy, who finished second and third, respectively, in the Risen Star.

A new challenger comes in the form of My Boy Jack, who makes his Fair Grounds debut off a 4 1/2-length romp in the Southwest Stakes (G3) at Oaklawn Park.

On Sunday, a dozen three-year-olds will line up in the nine-furlong Sunland Derby. A number in the field have placed in Road to the Kentucky Derby points races and will be going for the win in this 50-20-10-5 points contest.

Included in that number are All Out Blitz, runner-up in the Sham Stakes (G3) and third in the San Vicente Stakes (G2), and Dark Vader, third most recently in the Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3).
