Palm Beach 2014 Dick Andrews Futurity Final Preview 12/26/2014
One of the best Stakes Finals of the season is almost upon us at Palm Beach! Very competitive qualifying rounds should lead to a tremendous Final the day after Christmas. What are the chances your favorite greyhound has to take home $20,000? Let’s take a look at what I believe will be the Odds at post time:
The Favorites
#5 AMF Pushover ~ B & B Racing 2-1 Odds
The best closer at “The Beach” will be the favorite to win and he should be. Had one of the most unreal finishes in Stakes history in the Semis by coming back from last place to take the win at the wire. Can the miracle closer have one more magic comeback in the Final?
#4 Jj’s Tango ~ Rader Racing 3-1 Odds
Has the two fastest time of the qualifying rounds by has struggled the past two races. Can the Rader rockstar regain form in the big one?
#3 Just For Kicks ~ Janie Carroll Kennel 4-1 Odds
Was undefeated up until the semis against Pushover. 8 wins and a great kick at go time give this racer a good chance to take home all the glory.
Next Best
#8 IMark Chico ~ B & B Racing 5-1 Odds
The most intriguing draw of the Final getting the prime outside 8 box. Chico has an outstanding rush and could benefit if the big closers stumble trying to catch up.
#6 I Love It ~ Rader Racing 5-1 Odds
Looking to give Rader Racing its’ 7th Futurity Title. Won two qualifiers and has a 29.53 secs best time.
#1 JS ToHotToHandle~ Koppe, Staats & Collins Team 6-1 Odds
Owner Shannon Henry will look for two straight Futurity Titles, after getting the win last year with JS SpeedyPebbles. Could be in a great spot on the rail with neighbor Deja not breaking well in this tournament.
Long Shots
#7 Loop A ~ James Douglas Kennel Odds 10-1
Track announcer “FasTrak” Dale’s pick to win it all. Not in a great spot mid track, but does have a nice rush which could disrupt things.
#2 Atascocita Deja ~ Suncoast Racing Odds 25-1
Will be the longest shot on the board at post time. Does have a decent close, but I would be shocked if she pulls the stunner here.

Prediction
I’ve said it from the beginning….AMF Pushover is the best racer of this group. I’m calling another Pushover dramatic finish to take home the win for B & B Racing.
