Palm Beach Fabulous Friday Matinee Preview 5/13/2016

Welcome to the weekend race fans!  Palm Beach always sets up the end of the week with superb cards that feature the best talent in South Florida that certainly will be action packed from Friday all the way through Sunday.

Huge implications this weekend in the season wins chase, as Atascocita Camry & Barts Dubin both look to get even closer to the top of the leaderboard after this card wraps up.

Here are the top races we'll be following for Fabulous Friday at "The Beach!"

*Kb's Like A Fox*

Race 4 Grade TA 301 Yards

The top super sprinter in the history of the game #8 Kb's Like A Fox from 11 time Kennel Champion Rader Racing will have the public's interest in this one.  Fox has been prolific throughout his career to the tune of 90 career victories, best of all time at Palm Beach.

The nearly 50% career winner though has struggled mightly from the outside 8.  That winning percentage drops to around 20%, including last time out when "The Fox" was barely able to hang on to 4th.  I see that same kind of scenerio playing out Friday.

The one for me is #2 Joey Queen Kong from trainer Henry Chin.  Back to her old form after a long winter rest, Kong has 21 career victories and can really pop the lid.  Probably will get a decent price because the public will jump all over Fox & hot rookie #1 Kten Grace, who is unbeaten since transferring over from Orlando.

*Barts Dublin*

Race 12 Grade A 545 Yards

"The Luck of the Irish" Barts Dublin from the Douglas Kennel has simply been a force since this season started back in July.  23 wins puts Irish within two of the season wins lead held currently by Fox & Ethel Is Here.  Dublin draws the 1 hole, which he dominated out of last time out getting the victory in 29.82 secs.

It won't be easy for Dublin today as there are formidable athletes that could steal this.  #4 JohnnyCantWait from owner John Draper has 17 wins himself this season.  Not real high on Johnny for the W but he is a 67% board hitter this season.

#6 Dancin Dakota from the young Blu Too Kennel could pull the upset.  Three Grade A wins in his last 4 starts is certainly enticing.

Hard to pick against Dublin here, as he gets season win #24 and tightens the chase even more.

*Atascocita Camry*

Race 14 Grade TA 660 Yards

One of the hottest greyhounds on the planet #6 Atascocita Camry from Suncoast Racing will have the eyes of the world watching her in this one.  The roaring greyhound power of Camry has blitzed 6 straight wins and is one of the most lethal breakers you will see out of a middle distance athlete.  Camry like Dublin can pull within 1 win of the season wins chase with another victory in this one.

#2 Kuhuna has started to become Camry's most formidable opponent.  The two have duked it every weekend for the past two months, with Camry winning every matchup, including the nailbiter in the photo above on 4/29.  Kuhuna is a solid closer but just has not been able to catch Camry's blazing early speed by the homestretch.

Watch out for #7 Street Legal from the Janie Carroll Kennel who returns to Palm Beach from Hollywood and was impressive in his schooling win last weekend.
