Palm Beach Friday Matinee Preview 2/27/2015

Palm Beach is really spoiling the fans with the amount of entertainment set to roll for the racing action today. National Championship Finalists JS SpeedyPebbles & Storm Control both are slated to start, along with Derby Champion Pat C Brightly. The finale will also feature some of the top talent in the Marathon. This Card is one of the best we have seen all season without a doubt.Here is the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”
*Pebbles*
Race 6 Grade A 545 Yards
Nobody is more followed and watched then the “Queen of Palm Beach” #4 JS SpeedyPebbles from owner Shannon Henry. One of the top box poppers on the planet, Pebbles will be going for her 17th win this season if she can take this one today. Pebbles did have an extended break and hasn’t won since January 3rd. To say the fans are starving for their hero to win is an understatement.
*Kb's Gold Rider*
Pebbles will have one of the hottest greyhounds at Palm Beach to contend with in #6 Kb’s Gold Rider from Rader Racing. The Puppy Stakes Finalist has returned from an extended break and has been scorching the track winning 3 straight, including a 11 length victory last time out. An impressive 82 % board hitter in his young career has the future looking bright for the Rader rock star.
SpeedyPebbles should be able to get in front today and is almost impossible to catch on the lead. She gets back to the winners circle this afternoon.

*Storm Control*
Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards
The last two Stakes champions at Palm Beach are set to square off in this one.
He’s My Man Champion and National Championship Runner-Up #5 Storm Control from B & B Racing has had one fantastic season. One of Palm Beach’s true superstars, when he is on is very tough to beat. Will need to be out rushed by the field for any of these racers to have any chance of pulling the upset.
Derby Champion #3 Pat C Brightly from the Koppe, Staats & Collins Kennel was fantastic during the 3/8th's Mile Tournament. Capped it off with a 37.92 secs victory and bringing home the top prize for his team. With the win, Brightly will most certainly get a $50,000 St. Patrick's Invitational invite next month. Historically at Palm Beach, 660 yard runners returning to the 545 yard have struggled, so I only have Brightly hitting the board and not the win here.
*SM Houndman*
Look out for hot shot rookie #1 SM Houndman from owners Mike Seeger & Nancy Meyer. The pride of Toledo, Ohio loves the inside rail like I love greyhound racing and could be a great long shot play this afternoon.
Storm Control rarely loses two in a row, which has me putting him on top for the win today.

*Atascocita Sybil*
Race 15 Grade TA 738 Yards
The best racer on the Marathon course #1 Atascocita Sybil from Suncoast Racing has been tremendous this season. Has the top season time (41.78 secs) at Palm Beach and gets the pole position box to fire from today, which is a huge advantage at this distance.
Great rivalry has developed between Sybil & #6 KB’s Santa Lucia from Rader Racing. Lucia has the best rush of any Marathon racer and has finished in the top 2 in five straight.
Watch out for #8 Atascocita Jolie, who has amazed fans this season with three last to first finishes in the 660 yard. Will be making her anticipated debut this afternoon on the "Dixie Course."
Sybil being the top racer at this distance and getting the best box is too much to turn away from in the finale.
