Palm Beach Top 10 Rankings April 2017

Great superstars and rookies running right now at Palm Beach!  The Puppy Stakes gave us a glimpse into the future this past month, but the alpha hound still remains the same here in South FLA.

Here's the April Top 10 Rankings at "The Beach!"

#1 Fraulein Morgan  ~ Middle Distance  ~ Janie Carroll Kennel

~31 wins, 37.37 secs best ever time

A bit of a cool month for the "Fabulous" One, winning just once.  But when you lead the track championship chase by 11 and you've been in the money 96% of the time this season, your stranglehold on the top ranking is secure for now.

#2 Hot Prospect Gal  ~ Sprinter  ~  Agganis Kennel

~18 wins on the season, 29.18 secs best ever time

I think the Gal was a little peeved at me after last month.

After she missed our rankings by just a nose in March, the Hot Prospect from trainer Bob Dawson ripped off four straight W's in April.  Mostly just a outside hole specialist to begin her career, Gal proved this last month she can win from anywhere and against anybody.  One of the best racers this team has had in quite some time.

#3 Super C Martha  ~ Sprinter  ~  Lester Raines Kennel

~10 wins on the season, 29.29 secs best ever time

She is one sensational rookie.

Martha burst on the scene when she qualified for the 50K St Pats Invite in March and hasn't looked back.  Smoked two wins in the 29.30 range to end the month and has her sights on being the top sprinter here in the very near future.

#4 Superior Tyson ~ Sprinter  ~ B & B Racing

~17 wins on the season, 29.21 secs best ever time

This dude just knows how to win.

The "Knockout King" Tyson has done a lot of trip to the winning circles with 45 victories in his illustrious career.  Continues to get it done even as he approaches four years old coming up this summer.

#5 Char Vallon  ~ Sprinter  ~ Douglas Kennel

~7 wins on the season, 29.32 secs best ever time

Your newest star in greyhound racing.  Vallon bolted into the history books in the Bob Balfe Puppy Stakes this month with the 20K victory in a record setting split.  The sky is the limit for Vallon and sister Char Draper who don't turn 2 until June.

#6 Gv MooseIsLoose  ~ Sprinter  ~ Douglas Kennel

~16 wins on the season, 29.42 secs best ever time

The Mooooooooose has found his winning form yet again.

Moose is back showing his supreme box firing skills, which rival any greyhound in the game today.  He should continue to get stronger as the season continues on, as he just returned from a long beach vacation in March.

#7 Record Year  ~ Sprinter  ~ Lester Raines Kennel

~8 wins on the season, 29.61 secs best ever time

Became a household name during the Puppy Stake tourney, finishing runner up to Char Vallon.  Won an amazing 5 times in April and has a huge future here for trainer Kurt Trzeciak.  Huge rush and close will win a lot of races for the beautiful brindle that rocks the white socks.

#8 JN's I B Slammin  ~ Sprinter  ~ Rader Racing

~18 wins on the season, 29.50 secs best ever time

Time to give the son of Palm Beach legend Switzler Jammin his due.  Another three wins this month and consistently spittin fire from the starting box gives the Slammer a chance each time he races.  Has a chance to win 25 starts this season, which would be one outstanding year for the virtually unknown just a few months ago.

#9 BartsRunninLoose  ~ Middle Distance  ~ Douglas Kennel

~16 wins, 37.76 secs best ever time

Really is becoming a consistent force on the "Rhonda" Course. Has won five out of his last seven starts.  With Janice Dean out, look for this greyhound to pile up more victories before this season completes in June.

#10 Big Red Dog  ~ Sprinter  ~ Rader Racing

~20 wins on the season, 29.46 secs best ever time

"Clifford" is the second leading winner this season to Fraulein Morgan.  The world class early speed has slowed down the past month, pushing the perennial top hound here to the bottom of this list for the three time stakes finalist.

*Janice Dean & Barts Big Bang are both currently on beach vacations.  Look for these two stars to return sometime this summer.
