No horse in this maiden claiming sprint for 2-year-olds has reached the 69 Brisnet Speed rating plateau that ranks as par for the class and distance, so let’s take a shot with the lightly raced #1 Come See About It (12-1 on the morning line), who will make his debut on Tapeta.

Trained by Timothy Hamm, a 16% winner at Presque Isle, Come See About It has been competing against tougher company on dirt at Gulfstream Park. The son of Graydar endured a slow start in a $25,000 maiden claiming event Aug. 22 but rallied mildly down the lane to finish fourth, five lengths behind the winner.

Come See About It should appreciate the drop in class for Tuesday’s test, and after he breezed a bullet half-mile in :48 Oct. 5 at Presque Isle, there’s reason believe he’ll handle the transition to Tapeta just fine.
