ROUND 2 of the $20,000 IRON DOG CHALLENGE Highlights the Weekend Action at Southland on Saturday, February 11

February 10th, 2017

Saturday's afternoon program at Southland will be highlighted by the running of Round 2 of the $20,000 IRON DOG CHALLENGE in race 17. This very interesting and exciting stakes contest is being run over three different distances and so far the paw to paw action has definitely been entertaining. Kennels were invited to submit one greyhound that they felt could run the 583, 660, 703 courses and after two elimination races on February 1 the field was narrowed down to the following 8 entries. I have listed those eight greyhounds below with their finishes in the stakes contest so far along with their post positions for Saturday's Round 2 race. The points leader after Round 3 will get to choose the distance for the FINALS on Friday, February 24. Round 1 was run over the 583 yard course and Round 2 will be over the 660 yard course. Best of luck to all greyhounds and kennels involved.
