Saturday spot plays at Fair Grounds and Gulfstream

I previewed the All-Stakes Pick 4 at Fair Grounds in an earlier blog post, and here are a few other horses of interest at Gulfstream Park and Fair Grounds today:
Fair Grounds, Race 5
#1 Onarock (15-1) steps up in good form for Tom Proctor, easily winning his last two over claiming rivals including the last over the course. The 4-year-old has displayed a sharp turn of foot into the stretch and does not face an imposing cast of rivals in this spot. Onarock can sit a good trip behind the speed before rallying into contention.
Gulfstream, Race 6
#1 Or’effice (8-1) switches to turf following a solid debut effort at Aqueduct in which he flashed speed before weakening to fourth in the stretch. Out of Grade 1-winning juvenile Grace Hall, the bay colt is by Medaglia d’Oro (sire of 14 Grade/Group 1 turf winners) and hails from a female family with turf influences. Or’effice should receive a favorable trip from his inside post with Javier Castellano, who appears to be turning things around with three wins Friday.
Gulfstream, Race 10
#2 Curlin’s Honor (9-2) started to come on when switching back to turf last summer, placing in three consecutive Grade 2 events at Woodbine, and enters the Sunshine Millions Turf on a two-race win streak, including his first turf stakes tally in the Artie Schiller at Aqueduct. His BRIS numbers are among the best in the field, and Curlin’s Honor drew well on the inside. He can carry his form forward for Mark Casse.
