SOUTHLAND Preview - 5 Up And Coming Greyhounds at Southland for December
Here is MoneyMaker Mike's picks for the 5 up and coming young greyhounds at Southland for December. We will follow these dogs on a daily basis for December and watch as they progress up in grade while gaining much needed track experience. Please feel free to send your comments if you have a greyhound that you feel we should be following. The criteria for an up and coming greyhound is that they have 10 or less starts at the time. Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all.
CRAIGIE TROJAN - He won both his two schooling races, then finished a very close second in his first official effort and he followed that up with a win last time out. He is two for two so far in his very young career but with a blazing rush to the turn is a definite threat to move quickly up the grade ladder. His early running style seems to be mid-track and so far seems like the real deal.
FLYIN TURBO TOES - She ran two schooling races and had a win and 2nd place finish in them. In her two official starts so far, she has come away with two nice wins. Likes the inside and has tons of early speed. She is running Wednesday in the 12th race from the 6 box and though the Grade C is competitive, I like her chances to among the leaders right out of the box and we will see if she's got that extra kick to keep the lead all the way to the wire.
FLYIN WALKAWAY - A very impressive young greyhound here, undefeated so far in two schooling races as well as two official starts. He's an inside runner with a strong rush to the turn to go along with a big closing run. Tons of ability and talent, he bears watching each time he runs. He is running Wednesday in the 4th race and should add another win to his resume.
KL'S ARIENA - She won both schooling races, one by 8 lengths and one by 11 1/2 lengths before making her debut a week ago which she won as well. In her last race, she had much trouble on the first turn being both blocked and bumped before eventually finishing last. She's a wide runner with much early speed and a strong move down the stretch. Forget her last race, she's the real deal.
OSHKOSH GOOBER - He was undefeated in three schooling races and ran a solid third in his first official start. He has an inside running style with a ton of early speed appears to be able to be among the leaders from any box. Lots of potential in this one as he's not afraid to go paw to paw with the competition.
