SOUTHLAND Preview - Saturday evening, November 29
Welcome to another MoneyMaker Mike's picks for Southland Greyhound Park. There are 18 exciting and entertaining races on tap for this evening and what a better way to end the holiday weekend then by cashing some nice paying tickets. Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone. Don't forget BetAmerica is the place to make all your sports wagers and best wishes for a winning experience.
We do have one race, the 2nd, where one of the 5 up and coming greyhounds for this month is running. It's a Grade A race over the 583 course and is the (7) NB'S LEBRONJAMES. This hard running young greyhound was 4 out of 4 in top 3 finishes at Palm Beach before arriving here at Southland where he has continued his impressive start to his career by going 7 out 7 in top 3 finishes. He is 11 of 11 combined with 5 wins already and in his last A grade race, ran a strong 3rd beaten only by a length. With a nice rush and strong late kick, worth playing each time out.
I believe another decent pick of the evening is in the 1st race, a Grade SA contest over the 583 yard course and it's the (2) KEEPER POCKET. He has run into trouble lately but I'm willing to overlook that fact as he did make the finals of the Arkansas Bred Division of the recently completed 2014 Southland Festival Of Stakes where he did run 4th. In fact, in 5 rounds of that stakes contest, he had a win, three thirds and a fourth place finish against strong and competitive fields each time out. Since he has an inside running style, I'll gladly go with him in this one from the 2 box.
In race 8, a Grade TD contest over the 703 yard course, my choice is the (8) FLYING ONLOOKER who could pay a very nice return on investment should he get out early and find running room on the rail as he is the class of the race. I like his chances to finish in the money with a good break so I'm going to give him a shot here.
In our MoneyMaker pick of the 10th race, a Grade C event over the 583 yard course, I'm going with the (3) PJ RICCO SUAVE who is dropping in grade. He is a young greyhound with only 28 career starts though he does have 7 wins already. In the majority of those wins, he was able to break early and clean and I think with the drop in grade, he will be able to do it here.
I will post results from Friday's picks tomorrow. Thanks for reading and good luck to all.
