PJ EZ Pass to Pass the Competition
Southland greyhound racing for Thursday has 18 races on tap and several of these races drew my interest as solid wagering opportunities. I have listed these below and look forward to putting some cash in our pockets. Good luck to all and thanks for reading.
Race 5 - (4) TJAYS WRAP IT UP:
Here is a Grade M contest over the 583 yard course and the key here is the (4) TJAYS WRAP IT UP. I like her in this race because there isn't a lot of early speed so with her rail running style and the strong closing move she has, I believe she will catch the frontrunners down the stretch in time to get the win.
Race 6 - (1) PJ EZ PASS:
This Grade B contest over the 583 yard course is a very competitive race but I'm going with the (1) PJ EZ PASS as the key. He is coming off a win last time out and since he's got the one box here which is perfect for his inside running style, I got to stay with him to make it two wins in a row. He is a young greyhound with only 6 career starts but with 3 wins already, he has shown the potential to have a strong racing career. I will also use him in tri and superfecta plays just in case he encounters any trouble that may occur.
Race 10 - (7) CBJ OLD GLORY:
A Grade AA contest over the 583 yard course is loaded with hard running greyhounds but in a close one, my pick here is the (7) CBJ OLD GLORY. He's a mid-track runner with good early speed and will be among the frontrunners right out of the box and he's more then capable of avoiding trouble and finding running room in which to challenge for the win.
Race 14 - (1) SLATEX FLORIAN:
Here is the MoneyMaker play of the evening, it's a Grade C race over the 660 yard course and the pick here is the (1) SLATEX FLORIAN. This is the first time for him over this distance but he does have some closing ability and since he's a rail runner, the one box gives him just enough of an edge for me to key him here.
Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
