SOUTHLAND Preview - Wednesday twilight, December 31
Wednesday's matinee card has a full slate of 18 exciting and entertaining races to close out the year at Southland and there are several contests that caught my interest. I have listed these below and I look forward to starting the New Year out by putting some extra cash in our pockets. Good luck to all and thanks for reading.
Race 3 - Here we have a Grade M contest over the 583 yard course and the choice here is the (4) GS RUSS. He is a mid to mid rail runner with a good rush to the turn and I'm looking for him to have the lead by the time they hit the backstretch and hold on to it for the win.
Race 6 - In this Grade D race over the 583 yard course I'm going with the (4) SUPER C HENDRIX as the key. He has 3 top three finishes in his young career of 4 races and with his decent early speed and good kick down the stretch, certainly a threat to win here.
Race 10 - I'm going with the (2) SE'S WET EMBER in this Grade M race over the 660 yard course. Last time out over this distance she ran a solid 4th, beaten only by a length and a half. She probably won't be among the early leaders but she does have a strong late move to go along with her mid-track running style and I think she finds enough room to close down the leaders in the stretch.
Race 14 - Here we have our MoneyMaker play of the evening. In this Grade B race over the 660 yard course I like the (2) DUTCH DICE as the key. He did have a rough trip out last time but in his three previous before that, he had a win and two second place efforts.
