SOUTHLAND recap of past months 5 Up & Coming Greyhounds
Several times a year I like to go back and check the progress of our monthly Southland feature that I call the 5 Up & Coming Greyhounds to watch at Southland and this is my recap of the picks from last October, November and December. As many of you know each month I select 5 up & coming young greyhounds to watch and the only requirement that I use is that the greyhounds that I pick have less than 10 starts in their young careers. This list below is from the last 3 months of 2016 and consists of how many starts each greyhound had at the time they were selected and their starts and top four finishes as of now. Worth noting below is that of the 15 greyhounds selected in those three months, 11 of them are running in Grade B or higher with 2 already running in Grade AA, 3 in Grade A and 6 in Grade B. It definitely pays to keep a watch on these young greyhounds as they progress thru their racing careers. As always I welcome comments and suggestions so please feel free to do so.
