Southland's IRON DOG CHALLENGE STAKES is in the Books
The $20,000 IRON DOG CHALLENGE STAKES Finals is in the books and while BARTS GIRL won the final it was XKT JON SCHNABEL from the T and T Kennel who takes home the championship title by virtue of being the points leader when it was all said and done. BARTS GIRL had the 2 box and went box to wire in grabbing the win and with that win finished second in the overall stakes competition. BRASKA DALE gave a fine effort and came up just a length short of winning his second straight over the 703 yard course on which the finals where run. Despite a rough start to the race and falling to last place, XKT JON SCHNABEL came back strong and got a 5th place finish.
