SOUTHLAND's March Preview of Five up & Coming Young Greyhounds to Watch

March 2nd, 2017

Welcome to another Southland monthly preview of the Five Up & Coming Young Greyhounds To Watch. March's selections consist of several greyhound youngsters that have started their careers with some impressive wins and I look for each one of them to continue their success in the coming weeks and months. There were several youngsters that had credentials to make this list and the choices were certainly tough to make but I believe the selections below all have the potential to be Southland stars.  As many of our regular readers probably know, the only requirement that I use in selecting the 5 up and coming young greyhounds to watch each month is that they have had no more then 10 official starts prior to being selected. I try to give updates on the progress of these selections every few months and just updated the past four months selections on here last week. Thanks for reading and good luck with your wagering opportunities. Please remember that BetAmerica is always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have about wagering online.
CBJ ROSE BUD - 2 starts - 1-0-1-0 - Grade D - A promising young pup who has a win and a third place effort in her only two starts. An inside runner who has shown good early speed and looks to be full of potential, let's give her a closer look over the next month or so and see how she does.

PJ ICED OUT - 6 starts - 0-2-3-0 - Grade M - No wins yet but he does have 5 top 3 finishes in just 6 races so I'll be watching to see if this consistency will lead to wins in the near future. Next race - Thursday, March 2 - 4th race - 1 box

PJ HERE IS GONE - 7 starts - 2-1-1-1 - Grade C - Already having moved up in grade, she's looking to continue her climb up in class and appears to have the talents to do so. Has shown she can go early as well as come from behind so keep an eye on this one for sure.

PJ STACEY'S MOM  - 9 starts - 3-0-0-1 - Grade B - Another female on this month's watch list who has adapted very quickly and very well to the 660 yard course as you can tell by her 3 wins in her last 5 starts over this distance. Tons of early speed and an inside running style should have her in the lead or near the front in a good many of her outings. Next race - Thursday, March 2 - 14th race - 4 box

STREAKING JET - 2 starts - 0-1-1-0 - Grade M - Here is a young greyhound to definitely put on your radar as he wins a schooling race by 10 1/2 lengths from the one box in a solid time of 32.12. He has a second and a third place effort in his two official starts and last time out came from next to last to lose only by nose so he's also got some strong closing ability to go along with good early speed. Next race - Friday evening, March 3 - 4th race - 8 box
