Holy Bull Contenders

#1 JIRAFALES was sharp on debut with a going-away sprint tally at Gulfstream Park West for Delgado. Social Inclusion colt takes a major class hike on Saturday while running long for the initial time, but he did impress in his first offering and could grab a minor share at a big price under John Velazquez.

#2 WILLY BOI is perfect from a pair of career tries to date in advance of his stakes bow. Engler trainee will face open foes for the first time while making his route debut, and he has a lot of questions to answer in this fine field. Junior Alvarado will guide the talented gelding.

#3 PAPETU was an excellent runner-up in the local prep for this endeavor, the Mucho Macho Man S. Sano pupil has run a trio of fine races on the Gulfstream Park surface, and he rates an exotics chance with improvement on Saturday.

#4 AMOUNT looked the part in drawing off late on debut here for Pletcher. Curlin colt has trained forwardly following that tally, and the chestnut is bred to improve as the distances increase, as well. Luis Saez inherits the ride.

#5 TARANTINO is a nose shy from being unbeaten from a trio of races on the lawn ahead of his dirt debut. Brisset trainee is a $610,000 son of Pioneerof the Nile who is bred to run all day, but he is a wildcard while making his first run on the main surface. Edgard Zayas will be in the stirrups atop the Kentucky-bred.

#6 PRIME FACTOR turned heads following his impressive debut romp on the oval for Pletcher. $900,000 Quality Road colt has been training very well since that score, and he is bred to be a really nice one, too. The one to beat will be forwardly placed from the break with Irad coming back to ride.

#7 GREATEST HONOUR has a potent turn of foot for McGaughey, and he could be a late factor on Saturday with continued progression. The recent maiden victor is closely related to a pair of Belmont (G1) winners in recent times, and the homebred has improved his Brisnet Speed figure in each lifetime race to date, as well. Jose Ortiz picks up the mount.

#8 SITTIN ON GO bagged the Iroquois (G3) in his second career assignment and hopes to regain his top form in his seasonal debut for Romans. Brody’s Cause colt ran evenly in the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) in his most recent showing, and he should be ready following five morning drills on the Gulfstream surface of late. Corey Lanerie retains the mount.

#9 AWESOME GERRY drew widest of all for his graded stakes debut for Joseph. The talented gray comes off a lifetime best effort in his initial try with blinkers on, but he will need to do a bit better to overcome the post against a deep field in the Holy Bull. Tyler Gaffalione being in the silks is a major positive, however.
