Thoughts on Churchill Downs' $98,666 Late Pick 5 carryover

A $98,666 Late Pick 5 carryover has made the Mother's Day card at Churchill Downs on Sunday even more enticing. Here's how the sequence looks from this perspective.
Race 6
Taking a drop from stakes company into this $50,000 claimer is #6 FARAWAY KITTEN (5-2), the only horse in the field with prior wins in both maiden special weight and allowance company. He's our key on the ticket.
Race 7
#6 PURE SPECULATION (10-1) was favored in his debut nearly a year ago, but backed out after showing some early foot. Likely better on the way. #8 TWELFTH LABOUR (5-1) has done his best running around one turn, though slight concern is this trip might prove too short. Did show more speed than usual last time, a plus. #9 PIRATE'S PUNCH (15-1) faced some quality fields in California last summer. Half to graded winners Girvin and Cocked and Loaded presumably still has potential despite a couple rough outings.
Race 8
#8 COACH ROCKS (2-1) won the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) and placed in the Black-Eyed Susan (G2) and Delaware Oaks (G3) last year, thus owns the class edge. However, #6 DIAMONDCOAT (10-1) has generally run well (when sticking to dirt) every time since being claimed by Bernie Flint last fall, including a couple of tries at this level.
Race 9
If the inside speed comes back at all to the field, #5 KITTEN'S CAT (4-1) will loom a significant threat to pick up the pieces. Enters fresh for Mike Maker. He doesn't have much sprint form to speak of, but #4 DUBBY DUBBIE (10-1) loves this turf course as three of his four wins have come over it. Reunited with Geroux here.
Race 10
We'll hopefully remain alive for our spread race in the finale. #2 QUEEN'S MASON (20-1) and #3 RAHFEE TOWN (10-1) have room to improve off their debut runs last season, while #4 FLATOUT WINNER (5-1) didn't seem to care for two turns or slop after a strong debut run at Fair Grounds. Blinkers on here. #9 PERLMAN (8-1) is an interesting first-time starter with the potent Maker/Geroux combo in his corner.
The 50-cent ticket:
6 with 6,8,9 with 6,8 with 4,5 with 2,3,4,9 = $24
