Doncaster St Leger Festival
The 2010 Doncaster St. Leger Festival is the highlight of the year at Doncaster and one of the most important festivals on the British Racing calendar.
A deluge of top class racing falls on Doncaster starting Wednesday, September 8th, and as ever this year's festival promises to be spectacular.

St Leger Festival highlights:
Wednesday, September 8
Day one highlight goes to the 2-yeear-old sprinters in the DFS Scarborough Stakes over the flying five furlongs. This race often attracts a classy field and the 2009 renewal went to the speedy Strike The Deal.

Thursday, September 9
The second day of the festival sees some high class older fillies/mares take each other on in the Park Hill Stakes. Day two also sees a significant purse up for grabs in the Weatherbys Insurance 2-year-old stakes race. Future star jockey, William Buick, had one of the biggest results of his young career when winning this aboard Barry Hills' Swilly Ferry last year.

Friday, September 10
Day three sees a host of Group action with three Group Two's being run. Highlight of the day will go to the stayers in the Doncaster Cup. Some of the greatest stayers that graced the turf have taken this contest, most notably Le Moss and Double Trigger. Crowd favorites Persian Punch and Sergeant Cecil also have their names etched on the Doncaster Cup. The May Hill Stakes sees the two-year-old fillies back while some of the quickest juveniles around may be seen the Flying Childers Stakes.

Saturday, September 11: St Leger Day
The fourth day of the festival is jam packed with class. The St Leger Stakes will take centre stage on the final day and some classy types will be looking to add the last classic of the season to their C.V's. Conduit took this in 2008 before going on to claim the Breeders Cup Turf. Top notch older horses can be seen in the Park Hill Stakes which was won by the Irish raider, Duff, last year.
