All Stakes Pick 3 for Keeneland on Sunday
A trio of black-type contests will highlight the Sunday action at Keeneland.
Race 8 Wager
- $2 Pick 3: 2,3,5,7,12 with 1 with 1,2,3,4 ($40)
Race 8 – Indian Summer S.
The 5 1/2-furlong turf dash for juveniles attracted an overflow field of 13. #2 Chasing Liberty (4-1) has put in a pair of very good runs to commence his career and is a must-use for Rob Atras. Constitution colt was elevated to the win in the Juvenile Sprint S. at Kentucky Downs in his latest performance and looms large with Florent Geroux retaining the mount.
#3 G W’s Girl (15-1) was sharp in a victory on debut at Delaware Park for Greg Compton and has intrigue to me at a big number. Two-time stakes winner #7 Governor Sam (3-1), as well as the Wesley Ward duo of #5 Dreamaway (9-2) and #12 Floodlites (20-1), will also make the ticket.
Race 9 – Spinster S. (G1)
Defending champ and prohibitive morning-line choice #1 Idiomatic (3-5) leads the Breeders’ Cup "Win and You’re In" affair. The Juddmonte homebred has compiled a 13-10-3-0 mark since 2023, and the champion mare is also proven over the local surface, too. I don’t love to single such a heavy favorite in general, but the Brad Cox pupil seems very likely to take this race, and I’ll use the free space and move on to the final leg.

Race 10 – Bourbon S. (G2)
This turf tilt for two-year-olds features a full cast with numerous solid prospects in the group. I’ll use the four contenders drawn to the inside in the heat. Kentucky Downs maiden victor #1 Warheart (15-1) has run two good ones for Rodolphe Brisset and figures to thrive with the added ground from the fence.
Steve Asmussen’s #2 Warlander (7-2) has two route races under his belt and could peak third time out with Jose Ortiz up. Kitten’s Joy S. victor #3 Siesta Key (8-1), who is out of the exquisite Cocoa Beach, has done little wrong in commencing his career with a pair of wins for Brad Cox. And Iroquois S. (G3) third #4 Giocoso (9-2), who romped on the Ellis Park lawn two prior, is also added.
