Exotic Plays for the 2023 Dream Supreme Stakes
A total of six fillies and mares will travel six panels on the Churchill Downs main strip in Saturday’s $300,000 Dream Supreme S. I have been impressed by the improvement displayed by #1 Your So Sillea (5-1) as of late for conditioner Philip Sims and will take a shot with her to continue her ascension in the affair.
Dream Supreme Exotics
The four-year-old daughter of Lea has run three of the top races of her career beneath the TwinSpires, and she has sharp current form with two big allowance efforts in succession, as well. This dark bay Kentucky-bred runs for a barn that is off to a fast start to the meeting, and she might take the lead early on with a clean break from the rail too. Corey Lanerie will guide the speedy sort.
The Phil Bauer-trained #4 Little Prankster (9-5) made short work of a solid allowance field at Keeneland last time out to move her mark to three-for-three since adding blinkers. The Practical Joke sophomore has been first or second in each of her six lifetime outings to date, and she combined big early speed with a fine turn of foot, making her super tough when she delivers her best effort. The $425,000 yearling purchase ran well in both of her previous tilts on the oval and wouldn’t be a surprise to me. John Velazquez inherits the ride atop the talented filly.
The grey #7 Wicked Halo picks up her 8th career victory in the Twin Bridges S. at Ellis Park for trainer Steve Asmussen under Cristian Torres! 🏆

Steve Asmussen’s #5 Wicked Halo (6-5) is classy and consistent. The Gun Runner miss has won or placed in all but one lifetime effort to date, and she was last seen finishing a nose short in the Thoroughbred Club of America S. (G2) at Keeneland. This Winchell homebred is a multiple Grade 2 heroine who has a lot of positive experience at Churchill Downs, and she also possesses the versatility to adapt to any type of pace in the dash, as well. Regular pilot Tyler Gaffalione will guide the morning-line choice.
