Honey Fox Exotics Plays

February 27th, 2025

A full field of fillies and mares will jaunt one mile on the Gulfstream Park lawn in Saturday’s $165,000 Honey Fox S. (G3). Trainer Christophe Clement has a dangerous duo entered in the affair and will key both on top in the ultra-competitive turf tilt.

Honey Fox Exotics

  • 50-cent trifecta 2,6 with 1,2,3,4,6,7,8 with 1,2,3,4,6,7,8 ($30)
  • 10-cent superfecta key 2,6 with 1,2,3,4,6,7,8 ($24)

#2 See You Around bagged the Tropical Park Oaks on the surface two back prior to checking in second in the Endeavor S. (G3) at Tampa Bay Downs most recently. The four-year-old daughter of Siyouni has improved her Brisnet Speed figure with each try since arriving in the states and comes in for her second run off the short layoff on Saturday. The Irish-bred bay has a good post to save ground early, as well as excellent tactical speed, and I expect her to be in a great spot turning for home with Irad Ortiz Jr. taking the reins.

#6 Ozara has won or placed in all but one lifetime showing to date and is a two-time stakes heroine on the course in advance of this contest. By excellent European sire Lope de Vega, the four-year-old commenced her 2025 season with a game allowance tally at Tampa Bay and will likely move forward in her second showing dating back to last March. The ultra-consistent filly will stalk the pace from the start beneath Joel Rosario.

Grade 3 victress #1 Tax Implications rallied to be a good fourth in the Matriarch S. (G1) in her 2024 finale and the Chad Brown trainee is well drawn on the rail as a sure exotics contender. The chestnut five-year-old is far from a win machine with a 2-for-12 lifetime mark, but she almost always fires in the lane and the inside post could be ideal to match her running style. Tyler Gaffalione has the call.

I’ve long liked #3 Cairo Consort and expect her to make a bold late run to challenge for a share in her seasonal bow. This Cairo Prince mare makes her first appearance since the summer and has done a lot of her best work at this venue and at the trip, as well. She will be well back early before unleashing her late burst beneath Jorge Ruiz.

Grade 2 vixen #4 Poolside With Slim, #7 Special Wan, and #8 In Our Time will also be used in the vertical wagers.
