$19,913 Keeneland carryover, $5,000+ Charles Town tournament
There are a couple of valuable betting opportunities to pursue this Saturday. One is a carryover, the other is a tournament.
Keeneland’s $19,913 Super High 5 carryover
Feel like chasing a non-jackpot carryover? Keeneland is ready to oblige with a $19,913 prize pool in the $1 Super High 5.
The carryover is up for grabs in Race 10, a one-mile grass allowance for two-year-olds. There are many viable contenders in the overflow field, but morning line favorite #5 Blue Coast (4-1) is particularly compelling. The son of Omaha Beach wired his debut racing one mile over the Ellis Park turf course in a $50,000 maiden optional claimer, then cut back to 6 1/2 furlongs for a Kentucky Downs allowance and ran third behind next-out Kentucky Downs Juvenile Mile S. winner Tiztastic.
Stretching back out over one mile at Keeneland should give Blue Coast every chance to shine, especially if you figure the likelihood of him encountering another next-out stakes winner like Tiztastic is probably low. We recommend building Super High 5 ticket around Blue Coast, counting on him to finish either first or second.

Charles Town feeder tournament with $5,000 in added cash prizes
Want to play a rich tournament on TwinSpires? Get involved in the $150 Charles Town Feeder to 10/27 Churchill Downs KDBC/BCBC Qualifier. The buy-in is $150 ($100 bankroll plus $50 to the prize pool), and the prizes are rich: at least one 10/27 $1,000 Churchill Downs KDBC/BCBC Seat, plus cash and an additional $5,000 in added cash prizes split among the top five finishers.
The complete rules can be viewed here, but the basics are simple: you must bet your entire $100 bankroll across at least five races on Saturday evening at Charles Town. You must wager at least $10 in a given race for it to count toward your five-race total.
Fortunately, the 10-race card is comprised entirely of stakes, so there’s a lot to look forward to and plenty of opportunities to bet on talented horses.
Looking for a way to boost your bankroll right off the bat? We recommend betting an exacta box in Race 1, the West Virginia Vincent Moscarelli Memorial Breeders’ Classic S. for two-year-old sprinting 6 1/2 furlongs on dirt. #6 Im the Director (7-5) and #5 Annapolis Road (6-5) finished half a length apart when 1-2 in the Henry Mercer Memorial S. over this track last month. The two geldings pulled 6 1/4 lengths clear of the rest while earning sharp Brisnet Speed ratings of 80 and 79.
Splitting I’m the Director and Annapolis Road is difficult, but they appear likely to run 1-2 again on Saturday. A $15 exacta box (costing $30 in total) should have a strong chance to hit and start your tournament on a winning note.
Good luck!
