Attacking Thursday’s Late Pick 4 at Saratoga

Thursday’s card at Saratoga concludes with a challenging and potentially lucrative four-race sequence and I will try to take down the Late Pick 4.
Race 7: KAHRUMANA (5-2) gets the rail and was last seen breaking her maiden at Belmont Park for conditioner Chad Brown, who is firing big again at this meeting. Chestnut filly by Shamardal has never run a bad race, but she is not a single in my opinion after earning just a 71 BRIS Speed figure last time out.
MAJESTIC BONNIE (12-1), a stakes second last time; two-time turf heroine OVERNEGOTIATE (8-1); Wonder Again S. fifth ENCHANTING KITTEN (9-2); and Mark Casse’s TAMIT (8-1) will also be on my ticket.
Race 8: HARD STUDY (5-2), who enters in good form for Todd Pletcher, and Las Vegas Marathon (G2) star SCUBA (9-2) have to be considered prime players in this 1 ¾-miles stakes event.
Race 9: A huge field will vie in this turf sprint and it’s the most contentious leg of the sequence. I will go deep here but Euro import DREAM MOVER (6-1) is my top pick. She will make her stateside debut for new trainer Jimmy Jerkens.
I also give a chance to IRON MANE (8-1), WHISKEY SEVEN (4-1), SEIZE (7-2), BANANA THIEF (15-1), RUNAWAY POSSE (10-1), and POLAR AIXS (12-1). And if SILVER ASSAULT (12-1) draws into this field, he will surely be on my plays.
Race 10: With good coverage and confidence I will be alive after three legs, I will stand pat with a pair of runners to finish off my ticket. GOT THE GIST (9-2) goes for the mighty stable of Chad Brown and will make just a second lifetime start in this finale, and an initial try on the sod. Bay filly by Lookin at Lucky showed little in a dirt sprint in 2016 here for trainer Pat Reynolds, but the three-year-old has trained well and I never doubt this outfit.
SCARLETT JO HANSEN (5-1) finished a good third in a most recent appearance for conditioner Michelle Nevin while wearing blinkers for the initial time, and has every right to improve second time off the layoff. Gray filly by Hansen showed some good tactical speed in that run and if she stays close and saves a bit of ground early on in this finale, the sophomore could get first run on the deep closing types beneath Hector Diaz.
