Australian racing picks for Gosford and Geelong
A torrential downpour after the first race at Rosehill Gardens last night forced racing stewards to abandon the rest of the races for the day.
Gosford, also in the state of New South Wales, is around 50 miles north of Rosehill, but the track hasn't been hit as hard by the inclement weather. There is, however, rain on the forecast for the afternoon.
Gosford is looking sensational ahead of tomorrow's race day, a 7-race card with some strong contenders in the mix.

In the state of Victoria, racing is at Geelong tonight, and it should be a good track.
Here's a couple of picks to get your night of Aussie action started.
Gosford, Race 1: #4 Kyo
Kyo attempted a gate-to-wire win when he showed blistering speed from the gate on debut at the same track and distance two weeks ago. A lack of race experience and fitness probably cost him that day. He was claimed in the final furlong but still managed to finish only a length behind the winner.
Tonight's assignment is easier, and his gate speed should help him overcome a tricky draw. He should either dictate terms or settle on the pace. If those 7-1 morning-line odds hold up, we are shopping well!
Geelong, Race 4: #6 Anolass
This mare has been competing against much tougher company in each of her last three starts. Two races back at Melbourne's premier track, Flemington, she managed to finish within four lengths of a smart one, Diamond Effort. Last time out, also at a more high-profile city track, she was beaten less than two lengths, despite racing on the worst part of the track. Those two runs are good enough to win this race.
Anolass will appreciate the extra half-furlong, is better suited in this grade, and the weight claim from the apprentice jockey will also help. She'll be very tough to beat, and the 7-2 morning-line odds look spot-on.
