Australian racing picks for Ipswich and Newcastle

BetAmerica horseplayers have four Australian Thoroughbred meetings and two Aussie Harness meetings to enjoy this evening, with the first from Ipswich kicking off the night of Down Under action at 10:20 p.m. ET.

Hopefully I’ve found you a couple winners to get your evening started on a positive note.

Ipswich, Race 1: #1 Addocarr

We won’t get much of a price on this Tony Gollan-trained gelding, but it’s difficult to see any in this field beating him.

It’s best to forget his last start at Gold Coast, as there were a couple of excuses.

Two starts back, he won over the same distance he'll contest tonight at Ipswich. He absolutely loves the track and has never missed the board in six attempts.

He’s drawn to do no work tonight and has raced against better than these.

Newcastle, Race 4: #7 Snitzari

I liked what I saw from this Kris Lees-trained filly in her debut campaign, which ended with an impressive on-pace win over this track and distance.

It’s fair to expect more improvement from the Snitzel 3-year-old, and while she will make her first start off a 23-week break, she has had three trials since mid-June and placed in all of them.

She is drawn to get a gun run and is the likely leader. Fingers crossed for a gate-to-wire victory!
