Australian racing picks for Kembla Grange and Port Macquarie

There is plenty of racing action from Down Under to get our week started tonight, with four Aussie Thoroughbred venues and two harness tracks available for BetAmerica horseplayers. 

Here are a couple picks for the two New South Wales meetings, Kembla Grange and Port Macquarie.

Kembla Grange, Race 2: #8 Perfect Impression

Rhis isn't the first time I've picked this lightly raced filly to win, and she is still chasing her first victory. Perfect Impression has been consistent, though. She has finished in the top three in all of her four runs this campaign.

In her last start at Hawkesbury, she found a couple better than her, but still got to the line well over 7 1/2 furlongs. She has run at Kembla Grange before and put in a solid performance to finish second over 7 furlongs.

She deserves to break through for her maiden win tonight. She drops in weight from her last run, is drawn well, and will step up to a mile, which should suit her.

Trainer Anthony Cummings is an astute horseman and will no doubt find a suitable race for her to win sooner rather than later!

Port Macquarie, Race 3: #7 Ciao Uno

This juvenile filly showed plenty of ability in her debut at Tamworth at the beginning of the month. She ran home strongly and reeled off the fastest final furlong, but was narrowly beaten. 

Ciao Uno will get an extra furlong tonight, which should suit her, and she has claiming apprentice jockey Samantha Clenton on for a little weight relief.

The filly comes from one of the top stables in the area, too. She should lead and be very hard to run down at those nice morning-line odds of 7-2.
