There are four Australian thoroughbred meetings and one Aussie harness meeting available for BetAmerica horseplayers tonight, with the first race kicking in from the Sunshine Coast at 9:57 p.m. ET.
Royal Randwick has scheduled an eight-race card, with the first race at 10:50 p.m. ET. It’s important to note that the Randwick meeting is being held on the inner circuit, known as the Kensington track. Situated inside Randwick’s famous course proper, it’s is designed to cope with excessive rain and still give every runner its chance.

Racing at Randwick, the Sunshine Coast, and the Victorian meeting at Geelong will all be on a soft track. The Western Australian meeting at Ascot will be on a good track.
Here’s a couple of picks to get your night of Aussie action started!
Randwick, Race 4: #1 My Dementra
This 4-year-old mare is backing up within seven days, after what was an encouraging run at Warwick Farm last week. On that occasion, she overcame a checkered passage and had to switch course in the straight, then ran on strongly to finish in the placings.
That was her second run back from a break, and she’ll be fitter now and ready to strike. The step up to 7 furlongs will suit, she has a great jockey, and comes from a strong stable. She has always shown promise, and in a weak race will get her chance tonight. At 3-1 on the morning line, she should win and win well.
Geelong, Race 1: #5 Fixated
This 2-year-old colt has been racing in much better company on city tracks and will drop back in class today. He's had three weeks to freshen up since his last run, when he closed well late to finish in the minors at Ballarat. On that day, he missed the start, and the eventual winner of the race has since gone on to win another race in town at Caulfield.
Jockey Luke Nolen, who you may remember used to ride the mighty Black Caviar, should be able to overcome a tricky gate. With Nolen aboard and race experience on his side, he looks very tough to beat.
