Australian racing picks for Rosehill Gardens on Sept. 24
Group 1 racing will return to Rosehill Gardens this evening, with the running of the Golden Rose S. (G1) for 3-year-old horses, contested over seven furlongs at set-weight conditions.
For TwinSpires players, every race is a Rest of the World Bet Back promotion, which means you can get your wager back, up to $10, if the first horse you bet to win finishes second.
The first race at Rosehill is scheduled to jump at 9:55 p.m. ET tonight, and the Sydney card will be supported with meetings from Toowoomba, Gold Coast, and Goulburn.
Here are a couple I like for the big meeting at Rosehill!
Rosehill, Race 3: #3 Ruby Tuesday (15-2 morning line)
Ruby Tuesday has been consistent this campaign and is a last-out winner at Royal Randwick, following a short freshening. On that occasion, she was much more forward than her previous runs, and that style of racing could play in her favor again.
In her last two attempts at Rosehill, she has been positioned farther back and has also run into rain-affected tracks. Three of her five career wins have come on firmer surfaces, so she is really going to appreciate being back on a good track tonight.
Rosehill, Race 8: #1 Anamoe (1-1 morning line)
What am I doing tipping an even-money shot in a Group 1 race?
Well, this 3-year-old colt by North American sire Street Boss is an absolute star, and I think the only thing that can beat him in this race is bad luck.
The Golden Slipper S. (G1) runner-up and Sires’ Produce S. (G1) winner returned from a layoff with an impressive win last time out at Kembla Grange, in the traditional lead-up race to this, the Run To The Rose (G2).

Anamoe looks to have more improvement in him, and he’ll relish the additional furlong tonight. Hopefully it’s a case of push the chips in, take the chips out.
Happy punting!
