Trotters will compete on Saturday, July 2 for $500,000 in the Earl Beal Jr. Memorial final at Pocono Downs, as well as in the $77,380 Tompkins-Geers colt trot and $55,380 Tompkins-Geers filly trot at Tioga Downs on Friday, July 1.

The “Beal” final possesses two trotters ineligible to the Hambletonian: Truemass Volo and Dayson.

Drawing post 7, probable favorite Southwind Frank is in a position where he can be defeated similarly as he was in his Beal elimination. If sent off the third choice, Bar Hopping is one trotter that would be value, despite having to overcome post 9. Brooklyn Hill should be value from post 6 after failing to hold onto the lead in the elimination. However, he’ll be coming from a stalking spot in the final, which better suits his racing style.

The first division of the colt Tompkins-Geers gathers hopefuls Mavens Way, Dominion Beach and Waitlifter K. Yet, Sir Royson should provide value off a break in a sires stake at Buffalo Raceway. Likely struggling over the surface, he returns to Tioga where he has won already and should be forwardly placed.

Split two has two ineligible: Cloud Nine Hanover and Blownoutofthewater.

Hititoutofthepark will be a decisive choice in this division, considering his off-the-pace win against older trotters at Tioga last week. In the exotics, Southern Cross could bring a large payoff, since he will be neglected for poor trips that can be blamed for either bad posts or poor positioning

A quintet kicks off the Tompkins-Geers for fillies, attracting hopefuls Southwind Hope, Sweet Ashley T and Goosebump Hanover, with Southwind Hope being the likely favorite after beating All The Time in the New Jersey Sires Stakes. Sweet Ashley T, though, enters this race off a strong qualifier at Vernon Downs, displaying her ability when she stays flat. The goal with her will be to maintain her stride, because then she can be involved at a big price.

The latter filly division has five going, with Jazebel De Vie being the lone trotter ineligible.

Celebrity Eventsy and Open Access will likely take the most money for their resume of sires stakes, while Dream Child should be sharp odds after winning a late closer at Tioga.

The racing of classic divisions—soph-colt-and-filly trotters—on their quest to the Hambletonian and Hambletonian Oaks finals continues its exclusive, extended coverage from TwinSpires and the Hambletonian Society.
