Belmont Stakes Week Kicks Off With DeRosa's ABC Picks

Happy Belmont Stakes week, everyone! The first of 31 races through Belmont Stakes day kicks off today, Thursday June 4, and it's an interesting card with stakes in races 3 & 7.

The third race Tremont Stakes could give us our early 2016 Kentucky Oaks favorite while the seventh race Intercontinental Stakes could give us a read on Ageless for the Jaipur. In general, horses exiting the Preakness Stakes week stakes at Pimlio Race Course have held their form off relatively short rest.

Looking at potential value plays, I'm most interested in the late double with Token of Love in the Intercontinental looking super interesting at her 8-to-1 morning line price cutting back in distance for trainer H. Graham Motion and getting Lasix for her second stateside tilt. In the nightcap #4 Nimble Foot get another half furlong, and it only seems a matter of time for this dam whose seven winners from 10 starters have all come on turf.
