BetAmerica’s horse racing pick of the day: Mar. 25, Fonner Park
Weekday picks and plays for Thoroughbred racing.
Wednesday, March 25
Fonner Park, Race 2: Maiden special weight (6 furlongs, 4:57 p.m. ET)
Only one runner in this 6-furlong dash for Nebraska-breds has ever come remotely close to winning a race. That is #8 Creeds Revenge, who was twice a runner-up sprinting a half-mile at Fonner Park.
A speedy 4-year-old, Creeds Revenge has already demonstrated proficiency over longer distances. He finished second in the 6 1/2-furlong Columbus Breeders’ Special S. at Columbus last summer.
In terms of Brisnet Speed ratings, Creeds Revenge towers over his rivals. He is the only runner to have cracked the 50 plateau, and has done so three times. Accomplished jockey Jake Olesiak (a 19% winner at Fonner) takes over the mount, which sets up Creeds Revenge for a breakthrough victory.
We’ll bet Creeds Revenge to win and call it a day.
$30 to win on #8 Creeds Revenge
Good luck!
Okay, he we go with more head-spinning numbers... The carryover in the Dinsdale Pick 5 Jackpot is $125,339. And we have a new Fon all-time record mutuel handle: $2,216,351. First post tomorrow is 3:30p CT. Just an eight race card - easy pickens. ;) @TwinSpires @paulickreport pic.twitter.com/zG6VBymhZO
